Director of Pharmacy Services

, ,Seasoned Recruitment is currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as the Director of Pharmacy. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the pharmacy department, ensuring the safe and effective provision of pharmaceutical services to our patients and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic plans and goals for the pharmacy department in alignment with the organization's overall objectives.
- Oversee the compounding, dispensing, and distribution of medications, ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and quality standards.
- Manage pharmacy staff, including recruitment, training, performance evaluation, and professional development.
- Ensure the availability of an adequate supply of medications and other pharmaceutical products, including proper storage, inventory control, and procurement.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to optimize medication therapy and patient outcomes.
- Establish and maintain effective communication networks with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers.
- Monitor and evaluate pharmacy operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing appropriate strategies and interventions.
- Stay updated on current developments, trends, and advancements in pharmacy practice and incorporate evidence-based approaches into departmental operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and accreditation standards related to pharmacy practice.
- Represent the pharmacy department in interactions with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies, suppliers, and professional organizations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of a college of pharmacy; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of employment or eligible for licensure.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive pharmacy experience, including management or leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, regulations, and standards of practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to make sound decisions and solve problems effectively.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and patient safety.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Residency training or advanced degree in pharmacy administration or a related field.
- Experience in a hospital or healthcare system setting.
- Experience with pharmacy automation and technology systems.
