Our client is currently seeking a Sales Representative specializing in Commercial, Building Services & Construction to join their team in NY/Long Island, NY. As the Sales Representative, your responsibilities will include selling temporary solutions and services to various sectors, such as General Contractors, Electrical Contractors, Mechanical, Facility Management, and Restoration contractors within the New York market.

Your primary tasks will involve:

  • Establishing a commercial customer base by actively soliciting new business through phone calls or traveling within the assigned territory.
  • Developing and achieving the Annual Territory Sales Plan, focusing on revenue, profitability, and market growth targets.
  • Providing quotes to customers, including pricing, contract terms, delivery dates, and credit terms.
  • Demonstrating products and highlighting key features using samples or catalogs.
  • Preparing reports of business transactions and expense accounts within specified timeframes.
  • Coordinating with Rental Center operations to prepare sales contracts and other necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring that customer and project specifications are aligned with internal operational procedures to meet project objectives.
  • Offering technical sales assistance for power and temperature applications as needed.

Required skills and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience
  • 3-5 years of direct business-to-business sales experience
  • A general understanding of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, HVAC equipment, and/or oil-free air compressors.
  • Advanced knowledge of the targeted territory
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, such as Salesforce
